Baptismal Certificate of M.ª Reyes Nicolasa Melchora Melchora González Ampuero Carrillo y Carrillo Gutiérrez Manzanal, 1787. Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, Spain
Pen and ochre ink on laid paper. Signed on 7 January 1787 by Vicente Antonio de Armas, Román Vicente Álvarez (...) (?), Manuel Román (...) and Juan Reyes de Cabrera.
This original handwritten document is a baptismal certificate issued by Doctor Vicente Antonio de Armas, priest of the Sagrario of the Cathedral of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in favour of the child María de los Reyes Nicolasa Melchora. Born on 6th January 1787, she was the daughter of Don Juan Antonio González Ampuero y Carrillo, dean oidor of the Royal Audience of the Canary Islands and curator judge of the Royal Hospital of San Lázaro, and of Doña Nicolasa Carrillo Gutiérrez y Manzanal.
In addition to the aforementioned priest, the document is signed by three public notaries of the number of the island of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Román Vicente Álvarez (...) (?), Manuel Román Alcón (?) and Juan Reyes de Cabrera.
