Spanish fan called Cristino because of its chronology contemporary to the reign of Maria Cristina de Bourbon Dos-Sicilias (1806/1878), regent of Spain between 1833 and 1840, and wife of Ferdinand VII.
Country on paper decorated with original painting. Its guards are openwork in gilded metal with set stones (some lost) with vegetal decoration and children.
This fan presents in its obverse a couple of newlyweds or newlyweds in company of a young lady located in a landscaped island; its reverse shows a boy and a girl playing in a similar environment to the previous one. It presents some antique decoration. Good preservation.
