Aleksandra Exter (Bialystok 1882 - París 1949) Design for bed and bedside table
Original design drawing by the Russian artist Aleksandra Exter where she proposes a double bed, consisting of a headboard and footboard, with a matching bedside table. The furniture is in Neoclassical style with decoration of a vase and a basket of flowers as well as two bouquets of plants. The bedside table is a wall-hung piece of furniture, without legs.
Pencil, watercolour and tempera on paper, with modern frame. Signed in the lower right-hand corner: ‘A. Exter’.
