War Poster Calling Whole Army WWII UK Reserve Royal
Original vintage World War Two poster featuring a Royal call to arms to the army reserve which reads; Calling out of the whole army reserve and the militia (including the supplementary reserve). His majesty the king has been graciously pleased to direct by proclamation that the army reserve and the militia (which includes the supplementary reserve) be called out on permanent service. Officers of the regular army reserve of officers (including the supplementary reserve of officers) and officers of the militia will act on instructions already in their possession. If not in possession of instructions, they will await orders from the war office. Pursuant to the proclamation the secretary of state has given directions that:- all men of the army reserve (including supplementary reservists) are to report themselves in accordance with the instructions contained in their identity certificates (army form d461 or d477) or in their identity books (army book 334 or 335) except men who, having received written orders.
