Original vintage advertising poster for The Art That Survives Uganda 60s-80s exhibition by the Makerere Community of Artists, works before, during and after the Idi Amini regime, at the Africa Centre Gallery in London, featuring an artwork titled The Army Takes Over by CK Lokwiya depicting two silhouettes in black set over white background. Idi Amin Dada Oumee (1928-2003) was a Ugandan military dictator and politician who served as the third president of Uganda from 1971 until his overthrow in 1979. Horizontal. Good condition, creasing, tears. Country of issue: UK, designer: CK Lokwiya, size (cm): 30x42, year of printing: 1980s.
