A RUSSIAN ABSTRACT PAINTING ATTR TO KSENIA ENDER
A Russian gouache on paper painting depicting a colorful abstract composition, attributed to Ksenia Ender, Russian, Soviet, 1895 to 1955. Signed with the Cyrillic initials KE on verso. Housed in a thin metal frame. Ksenia Vladimirovna Ender was an avant-garde painter and graphic artist. She studied at the State Free Art Workshops in Petrograd, 1919-1922 under M.V. Matyushin. From 1923 to 1926 she worked at the State Institute of Artistic Culture. The works are kept in the State Russian Museum, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
