19TH C ENGLISH LANDSCAPE PAINTING BY JOHN GLOVER
Oil on canvas painting by John Glover, 1767 to 1849, an English-born artist considered the father of Australian landscape painting. The artwork depicts a lake panorama with staffage and mountains in the background. Undated, unsigned. Presumably pre-Austrailian period, before 1831. Golden frame with name plaque. Provenance: Matthews Gallery, 1966. Collectible European Fine Art.
