CYPRIOT POTTERY JUG - .A wheel-thrown pottery jug of an ovoid-biconical body on a low ring foot. The strap handle is arching from the shoulder to the mid-section of a funnel-shaped neck. The exterior is decorated with brown painted bands around the upper part of the vessel, including the neck. Size: 220mm x 180mm; Weight: 615g Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; formerly in a European Collection, France, bought in Paris in the 1990s.
