LARGE EGYPTIAN WOODEN FIGURE OF A BOATMAN - Middle Kingdom, 11th-13th Dynasty, Ca. 2345-2181 BC A rare Egyptian boatman funerary figure carved from a single piece of cedar wood, with his knees drawn up to his waist. He wears a black echelon-curled wig and his eyebrows, eye contours, nipples, and mouth are delicately painted in black pigment. The body is painted in cream, and the skirt in white.
