HELLENISTIC GOLD MEDALLION WITH RED JASPER CABOCHON - Ca. 100 BC - AD 100 A Hellenistic gold circular pendant made of a thin sheet of gold, decorated with a central bezel made of red jasper with an extremely polished surface. Surrounding the bezel, there are eight other cabochons set in gold, symmetrically dividing the space. The pendant also has a geometric decoration composed of triangles made of filigree.Size: 55mm x 55mm; Weight: 20gProvenance: Property of a London collector; formerly in M.
