HELLENISTIC GREEN CUT GLASS SKYPHOS - Ca. 300 - 200 BC A Greek clear cut glass skyphos with vertical walls that taper towards the rim and a splayed circular foot. The bowl features integral ring handles formed between projecting plates, the upper with a forked terminal, the lower rounded. This vessel was produced using casting techniques, and was then lathe-cut and polished. The skyphos was the most valuable vessel in the Greek and early Roman eras.
