ROMAN BLUE GLASS HEXAGONAL UGUENTARIUM - Ca. 100 BC - AD 100A lovely Roman free-blown, semi-translucent glass unguentarium with a vibrant blue hue. The glass has a round but stable base, and a wide, smooth pontil scar. It has a hexagonal-shaped body decorated with moulded high relief fruits on each side, a tubular neck, and a folded rim. The blue colour is further accentuated with scattered areas of faint silvery iridescence, giving the vessel opulence.
