ROMAN GOLD RING WITH INTAGLIO DEPICTING MARS - Ca. 300 - 100 BCA Roman gold ring with intaglio depicting the war God Mars represented naked wearing only the typical war helmet. He is holding a massive spear with his left hand and a symbol of triumph in his right. The intaglio is set in an oval bezel and framed in a line of gold pearls. The bezel is pinned up on a round hoop embellished on the shoulders with visible and elegant steps. For similar see: J.
