Ca. AD 700 - 900.A stunning Byzantine gold square hollow pendant. The center is embellished with an eight petalled flower, that is adorned with a central red garnet cabochon. Between the petals are four phytomorphic motifs that fill the corners of the square. The pendant is framed with circular motifs on all four sides.
