RARE EGYPTIAN GRANITE HEAD OF A PRIEST - PUBLISHED
Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 400 BC.A granite head of a priest. The partial baldness of the official indicates maturity, with tufts of hair retained above the ears. The hooded eyes and the furrow between the eyebrows are reminiscent of royals from the Ptolemaic period. His features are characteristic of a wise ruler and identify the man as a member of high office.
