Apollo Art Auctions is proud to announce the ?Fine Ancient Art & Antiquities ? The Prince Collection? sale. Commencing on the 26th of January at 1 p.m. GMT. The auction showcases a spectacular array of antiquities from the Egyptian, Roman, Greek, Viking, Medieval and Western Asiatic cultures ranging between 6000 BC to 1600 AD. The sale will be held live at our Central London showroom, 63 ? 64 Margaret Street, W1W 8SW, and online via the Apollo Art Auctions platform. The auction boasts items from the Prince collection from lot 1 to lot 261, as well as other incredible provenances such as the collections of Jacques Carre, Naji Asfar, Eric Strobel, Georgia Chrischilles, Louis-Gabriel Bellon, Khawam brothers, Kurt Flimm, Leo Mildenberg, Xavier Guerrand-Hermes, Gaston Maspero Archaeological Fund, Elsa Bloch-Diener, Mrs B. COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE SCARABS AND BEETLE
Ca. 1550 - 332 BC. A collection of six scarabs made from greenish and blue faience, each featuring a drilled hole. Some are engraved with hieroglyphics, while others are completely flat. Additionally, there is a scarab carved from stone, showcasing detailed wings on its back. The collection also includes a blue faience pendant shaped like a stylised beetle.
