SCARCE EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN BUST OF RAMSES II
New Kingdom, Ca. 1279 - 1212 BC. A carnelian bust depicting Ramses II wearing a nemes headdress. The face has a rounded forehead, large eyes, a broad nose, and subtly defined lips. The nemes extends from the brow to the shoulders, its front lappets rendered with parallel incisions indicating pleats.
