The Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Meir Benet (Benedict) (1858-1944) was the son of Rabbi Asher Lemmel. Rabbi Mordechai was a student of the Shevet Sofer and served as Av Beit Din first in Nyirjako and and then in Steinamanger. His son-in-law was Rabbi Meir Gross, the Av Beit Din of Sarkad.
The Gaon Rabbi Baruch Kunstadt [1885-1967] studied under Rabbi Simchah Bunim Sofer, author of Shevet Sofer , his son Rabbi Akiva Sofer & Rabbi Mordechai Meir Benet. When he was 22 years old, he was appointed rabbi of Fulda, Germany, until Kristallnacht, after which he fled to the Land of Israel and settled in Jerusalem. He was one of the founders of the Kol Torah Yeshivah, and authored Anah Baruch and Ya’aneh Baruch .
