A Large Silver Lidded Trophy Goblet, Germany 1889
Repoussé foliage scrolling bordering the ring base coming up to lower column and teardrop buttoned chased scrolling. Dual spool shaped stem is decorated with laurel leaves and matching teardrop buttoned scrolling with a leaf patterned lower border. Center of body has a monogram with etched German writing and monogram encircled with elaborate engraved decorations of bows and foliage design. Cover overhangs the rim of goblet and has a harmonious repoussé designs as lower base and stem. Topped with a conical formed pointed finial at its peak.
