A long letter from the Rebbe on the ways of Chassidut. 15 Tamuz 1972.

A long and fascinating letter from the Rebbe on the ways of Chassidut.

"Having just come from the Days of Redemption, the 12th and 13th of Tammuz, the redemption of my holy father-in-law, the Rebbe, and together with it, the redemption of all who cherish our holy Torah and observe the mitzvot, and even those who are called by the name of Israel,

The contemplation required from this should bring about strengthening and an increase in the study of Torah and the meticulous observance of its commandments.

And this itself, engaging in Torah and mitzvot, is a matter of redemption, as our Sages said: 'You have no one who is free except one who engages in the study of Torah.' And fulfilling a mitzvah is fulfilling the mission of the King of the world, as is understood from the words of our Sages: 'They used to honor the mitzvot because they are the messengers, and a servant of the King is like a king.'

...And may it be His will that each and every one acts in the above with the dedication of will mentioned, and with the appropriate strength and determination, in a manner that 'he shall dwell alone and not be reckoned among the nations and the ways of the nations.'"
