In the upper left corner there is an inscription: «Anna Pavlova». In the lower left corner there is a stamp of the photostudio: «Verlag Herm. Leiser / Berlin W. 15 ». In the lower right corner under the workshop logo there is the inscription: «8006».
Information:
Anna Pavlovna Pavlova (1881-1931) - one of the greatest ballet dancers of the twentieth century. In 1909 she participated in the Diaghilev's «Russian Seasons» in Paris which let her worldwide fame begin. «Les Sylphides» is a short, non-narrativeballet by Mikhail Fokin, based on the piano music of Frederic Chopin. The premiere took place on February 10, 1907 at a charity presentation at the Mariinsky Theater and was dedicated to the memory of the composer. The costumes were designed by Leon Bakst.
