Caïn et Abel is a beautiful original black and white etching on paper, signed and dated on plate on the lower left margin by Jean Alexandre Falguière.
This etching was printed by Louis Fort (as the note reports on the lower right margin) and published by the French Revie de l'Art Ancien et Moderne.
Reference: Bailly - Hertzberg, p. 116.
This original print, representing the tragedy of the murder of Abel by the hands of his brother, was realized with a very expressive and wise touch, and with very deep blacks.
In very good conditions, with some imperceptible stains beyond the marginal line of the matrix. A white cardboard passepartout is included: 51 x 35 cm.
