Reflexion
Black and white etching on ivory-colored paper, 42 x 30.5 cm
Reflexion is a beautiful black and white etching on ivory-colored paper, signed both on plate "J. Piel sc." and in pencil on the lower right margin by Jules Piel. This is the proof "avant la lettre et avec remarque".
This original print is realized on a watermarked paper "AS" on the lower left margin below the image, and it is a cachet de la Societé Francaise des Aquafortistes.
This artwork represents a nude of woman reflecting herself in the mirror, showing off her face and more details of her elegance.
Jules Piel (Paris, 1882 - Orleans, 1978) was a draftsman and engraver of French banknotes and stamps. He studied at the Estienne school under Henri-Joseph Dubouchet.
Very good conditions. Including white cardboard passepartout.
