rectangular shape, the sides decorated with musician putti and swans, the hinged lid with a scene of battle. Gilded interior. Sterling silver, hallmarked with the marks in use in Hanau, silversmith Ludwig Neresheimer & Co., and fully hallmarked with the import marks of Chester 1902-03, importer Berthold Mueller.
