Extremely rare and wonderful drape in green silk with embroidery in polychrome silk thread, trimmings and perimeter fringe in golden tinsel. Made for ARTS AND TRADE SOCIETY OF MUTUAL AID of MONTCLAIR in New Jersey (USA) and named after GABRIELE D'ANNUNZIO, referred to as THE WORKER OF THE WORD - CLARIUS ELUCET LONGE. Mutual aid societies were born as experiences of associationism and mutuality, coeval with proto-industry, to respond to the need for forms of self-defense in the world of work, and many of these were operational in the United States to safeguard the rights of Italian emigrants. In perfect condition, without damage or repairs, coming from a prestigious Italian historical family, which has kept it together with many other D'Annunzio and historical relics of our twentieth century, the cloth measures cm.
