Dedicou-se ao ensino, onde foi professor de Educação Visual, em Luanda, Arouca, Felgueiras, Moimenta da Beira, Caneças e Lisboa. A sua obra gráfica foi editada por galerias, fundações, institutos e editoras, sendo descrito como um pintor neo-figurativo, por vezes abstrato e de feição lírica. Expõe regulamente coletiva e individualmente, em Portugal e no estrangeiro. Recebeu prémios nas áreas de pintura e desenho.
