SHIPS FROM THE ARTIST'S STUDIO IN ------ London This is an original painting using acrylic, banana leaves, and model paste on wood, which was inspired by the Commonwealth as a project for the Queen?s Platinum Jubilee. Uganda was one of the countries in the Commonwealth. The banana leaves were used to make a renowned dish called the Luwombo, a type of food which holds cultural significance throughout the country?s BIO Eunice Bossman-Okai is a visual artist who situates her practice between conceptual and contemporary art. Bossman-Okai?s work brings an awareness to the values and morals rooted in her spiritual beliefs which are influenced by her culture, nature, and spirituality.
