Ostby & Barton Old Mine Cut Diamond Masonic Ring
The approximate .65 carat round, Old Mine Cut (or European Cut) diamond is exquisite, approximately F-G color and VS clarity. It is bezel set in the breast of the Scottish Rite symbol, the double headed eagle. The "32" inside the triangle is on one of the shoulders. There is a worn inscription inside the ring dated what appears to be "6 ~ 4 ~ '12", which coincidentally, is the year Ostby perished on the Titanic. The ring is US size 5 and is approximately 12.5 mm on the top and tapers to 5.5 mm. The ring is hallmarked "O.B." (Ostby & Barton). This ring is a true piece of history and in very good estate condition. This is a stamped and electronically tested 14 karat yellow gold and natural diamond ring.
