Emeralds have been discovered on nearly every continent, but the best and the most desirable emeralds are Colombian.

  • Most rings can safely be sized within 2 sizes (up or down) of the stated size.
  • In Africa, the Cleopatra mines are believed to have began operations with the Romans around 30 BC – just after the reign of Julius Caesar.
  • In Central and South America, emeralds were prized by the indigenous people, including the Incas, Aztecs, Toltecs, and the Mayans.
