Facsimile edition of the manuscript from the pen of El-Rei D.Carlos de Bragança, a great promoter and enthusiast of oceanographic science in Portugal, reporting the events aboard the Yacht Amélia in one of his campaigns in 1897. With two introductory articles, the first on D.Carlos as a scientist, the second as an artist, under the responsibility of Mário Ruivo and Maria de Lourdes Bartholo respectively.
