Apulian red-figure kantharos from the Workshop of the Baltimore Painter. 330 - 320 BC. Height 23,2cm, width with handles 20,9cm. On one side a young woman sitting on a rock and holding a mirror, tympanon and a lavishly filled offering bowl. On the other side Eros to the left with cista and kalathos. Both figures pictured between thyrsoi. Numerous details in white and yellow. As a special feature the drinking vessel has four appliques in form of satyr heads, two at the upper end of the handles, two below the leaf shaped thumb-lever at the lower end of the handles.
