AN ICON SHOWING THE CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST Greek, circa 1600 Tempera on wood panel. Executed in bright colours on a gold ground. The haloes made of gold. The saturated shade of the garments and the terracotta-painted Golgotha contrasting with the cool colouring of the high walls of Jerusalem in the background. Minimally restored. 237 x 27 cm.
