A SMALL ICON SHOWING THE PRAISE OF THE MOTHER OF GOD (THE PROPHETS FORETOLD YOU) WITH CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL BASMA Russian, 19th century (icon), 2nd half 20th century (basma) Tempera on wood panel with velvet backing. The borders overlaid with a silver and enamel basma. Bearing spurious Russian hallmarks. Paint blisterings, restored. 22.2 x 15.7 cm.
