NICHOLAS OF MYRA AND ZINAIDA Russland, Moskau, um 1900 Russian, Moscow, circa 1900 Verbund dreier Bretter mit zwei Rückseiten-Sponki (verloren). Am oberen Rand geschweiftes Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The border with a gilt ground embossed with geometric patterns. On the reverse Cyrillic dedication inscription: ‘A blessing for life’s journey to Nikolai Vasilyevich and Zinaida Vasilyevna Kolesovy in memory of their wedding day from godmother Varvara Vasilyevna Glasunova’. Both saints depicted in muted tones with delicate chrysography. The Guadrian Angel appearing on the upper border. Minor areas of retouching. 30.7 x 26.4 cm.
