Pair of large baluster vases
Execution workshop Luigini Levantino, Savona, probably apothecary vessels, majolica glazed in white, cobalt blue sharpfire painting, vessel shapes bulging towards the shoulder, winged mascarons with rings in the mouth as handles, full-surface landscape decoration, depictions of Roman history and mythological scenes (nymph and satyr/shepherd and Cupid), bonnet lid with flame knob, outside S (Siccardi) in a six-pointed star and cartouche, ibid. dating 1625, inside manufacturer's mark, best., knobs glued, H approx. 50 cm, 19th century.
