Walther Gasch (1886-1962), German painter, graphic artist and Fünktionär of the NSDAP from Leipzig, studied at the Dresden Academy among others with Hegenbarth and Richard Müller, whose master student he was. From 1934 deputy director of the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. ''Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius seen from Capri'', oil on hardboard, signed a. dated 1926 lower left, titled on verso, 60 x 80 cm, framed 69 x 89 cm.
