Figural tunkfeuerzeg (from the group of chemical lighters), 1st half of the 19th century, iron. This figurine is similar to one named ''Berlin street type'' made by Johann Carl Wilhelm Kratzenberg (Around 1832-1860 resident of Berlin) for iron foundry Siméon Pierre Devaranne in Berlin. It is probably a relatively contemporary re-cast. On the back a gill as a container for matches, on the back a cylindrical receptacle for the acid bottle (replaced), slightly rubbed, h. 19 cm.
