A NAVAL GENERAL SERVICE 1793-1840 WITH THE “ANSE LA BARQUE 18TH DEC 1809” AND “GUADALOUPE” CLASPS, the medal awarded to John Hamlin (A.B. H.M.S. SCEPTRE). John Hamling served at sea during the war with France, starting on the 7th of May, 1806, and ending on the 27th of October, 1816, working for many years ashore until 1841. - the medal comes with lots of provenance and history.
