A MID 18TH CENTURY JOURNEYMAN'S REGULATOR CLOCK OF SMALL PROPORTIONS the hood having an arched moulded pediment above a glazed door with canted corners on a shaped trunk, and box base, the 4.75" silvered arched dial engraved with a running seconds dial above the minutes-elapsed dial, both with good blued steel hands; the weight driven movement of 8-hour duration with arched plates united by six turned pillars pinned to the backplate, the three-wheel train with brass pinions and terminating in a deadbeat escapement, the escape wheel mounted to one side with a shaped block of brass to counterpoise the second's hand and to the other side with a pin to activate the passing strike on the bell above every 60 seconds; the bell mounted on a shaped brass stand mounted to the rear of the backplate, the latter shaped to accommodate the profile of the bell.
