WEVER WALTHER: (1887-1936) German Luftwaffe Commander, an early proponent of the theory of strategic bombing as a means to wage war. Wever served as Chief of the Luftwaffe General Staff 1935-36. Brief T.L.S., Wever, one page, 4to, n.p., 4th November 1935, to [Karl] Bodenschatz, in German. Wever sends his warmest thanks to his correspondent for having sent a copy of their book and remarks 'I was really delighted by it, and will of course gladly recommend it'.
