Arbeit von GERDA CONITZ (1901 bis 1982). - Ausführung 1935/1936, wohl WMF, Geislingen. Keramik, hellgrauer Scherben. Laufglasur in blau-violett, türkis und weiß. Krakelee. Unter dem Boden geritzte Signatur: G. Conitz (Ritzmarke). H. 18,5 cm, B. 21 cm. - Zühlsdorff Nr. 2.379. - Prov.: Privatsammlung. Gerda Conitz (1901 in Studsin (Posen) - 1982 in Eislingen / Fils) war eine deutsche Keramikerin und Glasurkünstlerin. Ihre Rezeption als bedeutende Keramikerin des 20. Jahrhunderts wird vor allem ihren Glasurkreationen zugesprochen. Mit ihren Entwürfen prägte sie insbesondere in den 30er- und 40er-Jahren das Erscheinungsbild der Großherzoglichen Majolika Manufaktur Karlsruhe und der Keramikabteilung der Württembergischen Metallwarenfabrik.
