Der Künstler war Student an der Münchner Akademie unter Raupp, Herterich und Loefftz. Seine Illustrationen von Liedern, Märchen und Kinderbüchern fanden auch über Postkarten weite Verbreitung, z.B. die Volksliederkarten.
