Rahmen. - Wir danken Herrn Rainer Noeres vom Otto-Modersohn-Museum, Fischerhude für die freundliche Bestätigung der Authentizität und die weiteren wissenschaftlichen Informationen. Otto Modersohn studierte an der Düsseldorfer Akademie bei Dücker, danach bei Baisch in Karlsruhe, schließlich war er Schüler von E. Bracht in Berlin. Er war Mitbegründer der Künstlerkolonie Worpswede. Otto Modersohn malte das Gemälde im Spätsommer des Jahres 1916 in Worpswede.
