Pair of large Qilin floor vases with lids
China, 20th century. Porcelain, glazed, blue underglaze painting. H. w. / w. lid: 82 / 60 cm. Unmarked. In very good condition. Signs of age and use. Front and back sides with Qilin painting. Fu dog on the lid. Four Fu-dogs on the side of the body as handles. The qilin is a fascinating mythical creature from Chinese mythology. The Qilin stands for peace, prosperity and wisdom.
