***Auction Highlight*** 1874-p Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms62+ by SEGS (fc)
***Auction Highlight*** 1874-p Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms62+ by SEGS. 1856-s $10 Liberty Head Gold Eagle ms61 SEGS. The 1856-S is a scarce date in circulated grades (irrespective of mintmark variety), where the population reports show it to be concentrated in Extremely Fine and About Uncirculated. Mint State pieces are very rare with 10 examples known. The lustrous surfaces of the present MS61 offering display yellow-gold coloration imbued with traces or red, and a solid strike resulted in strong definition on all design elements. Scattered, minute surface and rim marks limit the grade, yet these do not appear too be all that significant for an MS61. Tied for 6th Finest. We have included another ms61 for your comparison A Key Date's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
