1918 Lincoln Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Grades GEM+ Unc. It is Interesting to note that the Portrait of Lincoln on the Obverse shows him Without a Beard as he appeared when he was in Illinois! The Obverse was Designed by George Morgan and the Reverse was One of John Sinnock's First Designs. George Morgan was the Chief Engraver at the time of the US Mint and Sinnock would be his successor, so two U.S. Mint Directors Designed this Beautiful Commemorative! Points to check for wear include Lincoln’s Cheekbone, Jaw, Eyebrow and the Hair Above His Ear. On the Reverse, examine the Eagle’s Breast Feathers and the Grass Beneath its Left Claw.
