Cool 1888 Battle Of Gettysburg 25th Anniversary Veterans Badge Shasta Collection Grades Ungraded. Very scarce Gettysburg 25th Anniversary Veterans badge from 1888. This was the year that the South was first invited back to Gettysburg for the 25th Anniversary of The battle. This was also the year that Longstreet made his triumphant return. The original medal is in excellent condition. The ribbon was added by the veteran from a GAR reunion in Boston in 1890. These badges have become extremely hard to come by. The Blue and Gray Reunion was the largest to date when it took place with over 30,000 vets attending at Gettysburg. Anything relating to the 1888 reunion has become increasingly difficult to obtain. This one will come in the riker case for display.
