ATTENTION! Weekend Special Auction with Heidi and Shanny! The Key Date Coins Weekend Special!

What is The Key Date Coin Special?

Well, when you ask, we will always listen. We have been getting a lot of complaints from people that with our most recent updates to our weekly high end coin auction that there’s too many high value coins there and not enough things for people to actually bid on, get a bargain they can afford, and come away with the same feeling and thrill that they used to have at our auction. So, we listened and we did a complete 180. We launched The Key Date Coin Special. An additional auction, 2 more nights a week, starting at 1:30pm, with all of the types of coins you wanted.

A complete new catalog of lots from us, each week! Every Single Friday and Saturday! This auction will run Friday, 02/07 - Saturday, 02/08 with Heidi at 1:30 and Shanny at 7:30pm. But don’t worry! We will still be running every Sunday and Monday with Heid and Shanny as well!

Get ready for this, this is the best part! This catalog will be ONLINE every TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY for prebidding. You will get 2-3 days to prebid with $1 starts on every single lot. No reserves.

1928B "Funnyback" $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades vf+. FR-1602 Signatures Woods-Mills These were the first notes to be called funnybacks. The reason they are called funnybacks is because of the unique design on the back of the bill. The word 'one' is printed in a "funny" font that is quite different from anything ever printed on a bill. This nickname is not exclusive to the 1928 series, as the 1934 one dollar silver certificate bills have the same back design so they are also known as funnybacks. this $1 note was among the first small-size Silver Certificates. Although its face displays the sought-after blue seal marking it as a Silver Certificate, the back is what makes it so popular! The light green border and large, green ornamental ONE do not match the contemporary black-and-white face, leading to its nickname "Funnyback." Still considered legal tender though no longer payable in silver, this note is in great demand for its historical significance and unique design. With blue seal and serial numbers.
