Commentary by Rabbi Avraham the Son of the Vilna Gaon on the Shulchan Aruch – Handwritten by His Son Rabbi Ya'akov Moshe Landau of Slonim
A handwritten leaf with commentary on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim. Copying of a manuscript by Rabbi Avraham the Son of the Vilna Gaon on the leaves of his volume of the Shulchan Aruch. The copying was done by his son Rabbi Ya'akov Moshe of Slonim.
Rabbi Avraham of Vilnius (1766-1809) was the beloved son of Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilnius. He was known as a Torah and Kabbalah genius. After his father's death, he headed the "Kloiz Hagra" of Vilnius. He published his father's writings, adding important prefaces to them. In many of the Vilna Gaon's books, his commentary was added titled "Be'er Avraham".
The copyist of the manuscript was his son, Rabbi Ya'akov Moshe Landau of Slonim (1780-1849) who was educated by his father and grandfather. He followed in the footsteps of his forefathers and studied and taught Torah all his life.

Condition: Good. Has been restored. Omissions in the margins of the leaves were professionally filled in with a similar leaf. Omission of text in the last lines of the leaf. Slight damage to the handwritten inscriptions on the right side of the leaf.
