AN ART NOUVEAU DIAMOND AND ENAMEL RING, BY RENÉ LALIQUE
Centering an old marquise-cut diamond to the openwork surround, depicting two dragonflies facing each other in green long wings and iridescent blue eye and body details, mounted in 18K yellow gold, circa 1900, diamond weighing approximately 1.68 carats, stamped R LALIQUE, with French assay mark, fitted box, ring size 4
Lalique was founded by René Lalique (1860 -1945). This talented French artist who loved life had brought revolutionary changes to the jewelry world with his unique design and manufacturing methods in 1885. He was avant-garde and different from the jewelry world.
